General Terms and Conditions

1. handover of the rented items
The lessor undertakes to provide the rented items to the lessee in perfect technical and undamaged condition. The Hirer must check this and confirm this with his signature. The Hirer must identify himself with a valid identity document (with photograph). He agrees to the recording of necessary personal data.

2. extension of the rental period
An extension of the rental period must be requested from the lessor before the end of the agreed rental period. If the return date is exceeded without authorization, the renter must pay a fee of €20 per hour. A police report will be filed 24 hours after the unauthorized overdue date. Early return does not justify a pro rata refund of the rental price.

3. use, insurance and loss
The renter undertakes to treat the rented items with care and to secure them against theft with a lock provided by ZWEIRADPERLE (on a fixed object). If the bicycles are rented overnight, they must not be left outside. In the event of theft, this must be reported and presented to the rental company immediately. The renter is liable in any case to the amount of the current new price (manufacturer's RRP). Theft insurance can be taken out at the start of the rental for €3 per bike/day, whereby the excess is waived for category A & B bikes. For categories C and D, an additional 10% of the new price (manufacturer's RRP) per rental item is due in the event of theft or loss and the conclusion of insurance. The theft insurance does not apply to bicycles left outside overnight.
Modifications, assembly or disassembly of attachments to the rented items are not permitted without prior agreement with the lessor. The Hirer shall be liable for any damage caused as a result.

4. limitation of liability
The use of the rental items is at the renter's own risk. He/she confirms that he/she has mastered the handling of the bicycle and complies with the applicable traffic regulations.

5. customer liability for damages
The renter undertakes to return the bicycle in perfect condition. The renter is liable for any damage caused to the bicycle that is not subject to normal wear and tear up to the amount of the repair costs or, in the event of a total loss, up to the current new price (manufacturer's RRP). The loss of a key will be charged as follows Spiral lock €18, folding/chain lock €23, e-bike key €35 per key. The loss of a cell phone holder provided free of charge will be charged at €15.
Claims must be asserted by the Rental Firm immediately upon return of the bicycle. Only the Rental Firm (ZWEIRADPERLE) shall carry out repairs to the rented items; an external company may only be commissioned after prior consultation. In the event of flat tires, the bicycle must be returned to the rental station, whereby transport costs will not be reimbursed by the Rental Firm.

6. accidents
If the Hirer is involved in a traffic accident, the police must always be called and the accident number forwarded to the Rental Firm (ZWEIRADPERLE). This and other details of the accident must be communicated to the Rental Firm immediately.

7 Other provisions
The relationship between the customer and ZWEIRADPERLE shall be governed exclusively by the law of the Federal Republic of Germany. Place of jurisdiction and place of fulfillment is Hamburg. The legal invalidity of individual parts of these General Terms and Conditions shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions.
